About Me
Hello and welcome!
I am a multimedia journalism and Spanish student passionate about storytelling that humanizes and examines how national issues shape local communities.
I believe strong storytelling can connect people to one another and to the issues that shape their lives. As a student at Point Loma Nazarene University, I enjoy covering stories that bridge national conversations with local impact.
Through interviews, research, and multimedia work, I aim to tell stories that embrace nuance and complexity rather than shy away from it. I am seeking opportunities to continue developing as a journalist and ways to contribute work that informs, engages, and connects people.
I am currently working as the Opinion editor at The Point Weekly and LomaBeat. I have had the privilege of writing articles on how students from Minnesota were experiencing public unrest while not at home, and how students from Mexico reacted to the death of El Mencho, in addition to stories on student experiences and current trends.
